The platform’s main body consists of 3 compartments. --An open center compartment, a single pull out drawer and a section enclosed by 2 sliding doors. --The body is slightly raised off the face of the leg, creating the space and distance between the two planes. By viewing the side angle, you can see that within the leg structure itself varying plane heights are created with the width base rail being offset in height from the depth base rail. Depth and intrigue are created with these design techniques. In the late 50’s & early 60’s, Finn Juhl and Arne Vodder were among the first to experiment with formica and natural wood surfaces in modernist storage units. Since that time, the micro sizing of technology makes the original size of these credenza’s completely relevant today. For many, the platform is a comfortable solution for housing various entertainment & Television equipment while showcasing discerning taste for timeless modernism. The Walnut wood veneer body is carefully finished and polished to a rich natural luster. |
